Sugarhouse!!

Saturday (1/10) was originally gonna be a lazy recovery day after partying at Cuba the previous night, this would not be the case. I slept in late and it was fantastic. When I got up I headed straight into town with CT to get the Indian food that I had been craving since Wednesday when I saw it first. It lived up to my expectations, which pretty much made the early part of my day. CT and I did a little shopping after the food and then went back to campus.

When I got back to campus I settled in for what I expected to be a quite evening of music and blogging. Around 8:30 I got a text from Urmie inviting me to join her and her group at the Sugarhouse, which is a popular club in town. I dodged around the idea for a few minutes, deciding if I really needed a quite night or if I should let the party continue for another night. As you might have guessed, the party had to go on. I met Urmie and her group in Trevor (Trev), which is the bar for Furness College, officially my favorite place to hangout on campus.

The group consisted of: Liam (one of Urmie's flatmates), Neil, Zoe, Ashe, Jack, Martha, and Rachel.

We all hopped on the bus to town and away we went. Instead of going to Sugarhouse straight away, we instead made a stop at a local pub called Yorkshire House. It wasn't a huge place, but I liked it. We all had a few pints and got to know each other better. Then it was time to move to the Sugarhouse.

We got to the Sugarhouse just in time, cause the queue was forming quickly. Once inside we checked our coats in and we were ready to go. The layout of the Sugarhouse is 2 large rooms that play slightly different kinds of music. One is your usual Top 40 hip hop and R&B songs from the past few years and the other is more dance and house stuff. Each room has a bar, which made getting drinks a little better, although it was freakin packed. Also, while we were there we ran into Joe. I snapped a few photos while we were there:

We stayed till probably around 2:30am and then hit the streets to catch our taxi back. Going out that night was the best decision I've made since I've been here.
