WiFi Disco

(2/27) The evening started with dinner at a tapas bar called 1725, which is also the oldest bar in Lancaster (founded in 1725, who would have guessed). The group consisted of Urmie, Jessica, Dennis, Me, and a bunch of other international students. I was a little unsure of the choice of restaurant cause I'd only been to a tapas place once and I wasn't a huge fan, but I figured it was worth another try. The food turned out to be really good and the company was good as well. Some of the other people in the group were going crazy taking pictures of all sorts of random things, which was good for a laugh.

After dinner it was off to Toast where they were doing something called a WiFi Disco. The idea of a WiFi Disco is that there are 2 DJs in the club, each playing different music on a different channel. Everyone is given a pair of headphones and can switch between the 2 channels at will. It was the most unique clubbing experience I've ever had. Our group was about 12 people so throughout the night it was like playing a game, cause I would watch the other people and try to guess if they were on the same channel as me. We would constantly make hand gestures to each other saying to go to a particular channel. Also, occasionally I would take my headphones off and the club would be so quiet it was bizarre. We were all a bit unsure at first, but it turned out to be a great evening.

Here are some pictures.
